Operations Manager

An Operations Manager (OM) is responsible for managing the allocation of consultants to clients and projects. OMs work with various departments in the organization to understand all factors required to make an educated decision on how best to staff Infusion’s client engagements, projects, and internal technical initiatives. The OM balances business needs and a priority to maximize monthly revenue projections with the consulting pool’s availability, strengths, and professional development goals. They liaise with Recruiting to provide hiring requisitions for billable positions and escalate issues that impact staffing and revenue projections.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Tracks and manages staffing requirements and estimated start dates for upcoming sales opportuni ties and new positions on currently executing projects
  • Tracks and manages resource end dates with Project Managers and high level feedback on resource performance in conjunction with Practice Leads and Development Managers.
  • Understands the strengths, areas of development, professional development goals, and client prefer ences of our consultants and the overall consulting pool that one manages.
  • Strategically plans and coordinates the assignment of resources to clients and projects while accounting for upcoming and ongoing business needs balanced with consultant strengths, prefer ences, and goals.
  • Directs Recruiting on consultant positions to be posted for external hire (based on what OM cannot staff internally) and hiring priorities.
  • Prepares and presents weekly comprehensive updates on monthly revenue projections and resource utilization.
  • Ensures resources are assigned in a manner that maximizes monthly revenue projections and/or staffed to work that keeps them fully utilized and allocated to an effort that is approved by Practice Leads.
  • Escalates and assists in implementing solutions when resource issues arise that impact monthly revenue projections, including allocation of bench resources, staffing short-falls, inability to fill or recruit for open positions, or resource performance issues impacting staffing.
  • Strategic planning regarding future needs for practices based on anticipated long-term sales.
  • Understanding and analysis of practice report. Looking at numbers and providing escalations, recom mendations.
  • Oversees project kick-off process ensuring that there is always sign-off in place or approval to start without a SOW before a project starts.
  • Responsible for understanding statuses of exposed contracts for work your Practice is involved with.
  • Ensuring end of project process is happening to update

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree and three years of experience in a corporate environment in a similar type of position
  • Hands-on experience in managing and directing the activities and/or schedule of others
  • Strong computer skills with in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Detailed oriented, self-motivated and highly organized.
  • Proven to be a responsible, proactive, and committed professional with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills
